According to a recent press release, Orthman, a provider of agricultural equipment and implements worldwide, has launched its 2015 Deere-Orthman DR planters, which are designed to deliver precision, volume and flexibility for improved planting performance in a shorter amount of time.

Featuring Orthman’s stack-fold system and other groundbreaking technology, the DR series planter is able to take on any stretch of land. With innovative technologies like John Deere’s high-capacity Central Commodity System and the MaxEmerge 5 family of row units, the DR Series planters will save producers time and money. Other key features include a versatile gull wing to provide better clearance and quicker turns, as well as the fine transport models and mounting for optimal field and road control. The planters are available in 20”-40” configurations up to 60’ wide on a three-section flex frame.

Rod Haarberg, the senior vice president of marketing for Orthman, said in the release, “It’s no secret that the planting pass is one of the most time-sensitive operations each season. The Deere-Orthman DR planters are built for high performance and deliver greater flexibility, capacity and maneuverability to save time in the field. Together with John Deere, Orthman is literally stacking the odds in the producer’s favor.”

The 2015 Deere-Orthman DR planters are now available at local John Deere dealerships, providing producers with an opportunity to save time and money by streamlining the planting pass.
