The reminder for many citizens in Palm Springs, California, that Christmas is right around the corner is the annual Festival of Lights Parade. This celebration features a variety of floats, lights and holiday music for visitors, according to The Desert Sun.

Many visitors were amazed by the number of marching bands, fire trucks, John Deere tractors and even garbage trucks that were covered in festive decorations and lights. The spectators were treated to a warm winter night while watching the event, the news source reported.

"Even if it rained, we would be here," Sydney Brinkman, a local resident and mother of two, told the Sun. "It's a yearly tradition and has been since Tyler was born."

The main attraction to this year's parade was the largest tractor in the world, a piece of John Deere farm equipment that is 13 feet tall, 17 feet wide and 30 feet long, according to the news source.

CBS local affiliate KPSP 2 reported that large celebration drew an estimated 80,000 spectators to Palm Springs.
