An antique tractor museum in Central Iowa features about 25 exhibits and included among them are several John Deere models, according to the Des Moines Register.

Once the spring comes, the Carlisle Antique Tractor Museum will be open three days a week, according to published reports. Tractors on display at the suburban Des Moines museum have been restored and curators rotate the inventory on display.

"You’ll be amazed by how many people are interested in this," according to Don Russell, the museum's creator. "I've got people waiting to bring their tractors in from out of state. I’ve got two bus tour groups scheduled to come here in May."

Carlisle resident Bud Schrier assisted with the museum. Two of his tractors - John Deere Model B and MI - are displayed.

About 400 tractor enthusiasts attended the museum's grand opening in late October, said Russell, the owner of 10 tractors on display. Also exhibited is the property of other nearby tractor collectors. All makes and models are welcome.

"We're an old farmers car club," Russell said. "We're like a fraternity of people with the same disease."
