John Deere dealerships are organizing opportunities for up-close experiences with the renowned company's line of tractors and other farm machinery.

The Drive Green Challenge is underway at South, East Coast and Midwest dealerships, each of which is sponsoring its own event. More than 60 are involved in this year's opportunity to test drive John Deere tractors and other John Deere farm equipment.

"We've designed the Challenge events to give people a one-stop opportunity to check out different models of tractors, as well as a wide variety of other John Deere equipment they can use to maintain their properties and for their businesses," according to Steve Geick, tactical marketing manager.

A John Deere Tail Gator XUV will be featured at this year's event.

The Drive Green Challenge is tailored for rural property owners, producers of agriculture and commercial lawn and landscape operators, all of whom have the opportunity to experience the equipment first-hand.

The globe's biggest manufacturer of agricultural machinery conducts the event with hopes all attendees will enjoy themselves.

"At the same time, we want to make the events fun and informative experiences for everyone," Geick said.
