Despite not inheriting a farm, dairy owner Matt Hartwig and his wife Tabitha currently operate a dairy near Athens, Wisconsin, reports Agriculture.com.

Growing up on a small, recreational farm in Minnesota, Hartwig developed a love for animals and always had the goal of working on a dairy farm, the news source reports. In high school, he began to focus on this dream by working for a dairy farmer.

Following stints studying dairy science, veterinary medicine and interning and working on dairy farms in Oregon and Wisconsin, Hartwig took out a loan from the Farm Service Agency (FSA) for his first farm, states the news source. This was a Wisconsin property he ran for out-of-town owners, but soon he and his family moved to nearby Athens and bought their own farm with another loan for new farmers from the FSA.

For new and experienced farmers, John Deere offers a range of agricultural equipment to meet growing needs. John Deere lawn mowers provide home and farm owners with the ability to tend lawn and fields. The X500 Series of lawn tractors allows users to perform heavy-duty jobs, such as on inclines, because of the machine's wide body, and traction is increased by a pedal.
