The number of people who used John Deere equipment on England's best courses was highlighted during the recent British Open, but these greenskeepers are not the only ones who rely on the company's products to improve their facilities.

According to Horticulture Week, two golf course managers in Essex have invested in new John Deere equipment, as they are looking to meet the growing needs of golf course maintenance.

Increased efficiency has been associated with the new John Deere 220E hybrid electric mowers, as Arnold Phipps-Jones, the course manager of Three Rivers Golf and Country Club, noted these machines eased his day-to-day operations.

"It’s the fast height of cut adjustment that really scores," said Phipps-Jones. "The fact that it’s a single fix that guarantees parallel alignment saves a lot of time and trouble, and removes uncertainty and human error altogether. A five-minute demo from the dealer was all we needed, and all the staff can do it very easily now."
