The 39th Annual Husker Harvest Days event has officially begun in Grand Island, Nebraska. The three-day celebration will conclude on Sept. 15, and hundreds of exhibitors will be on hand to provide agricultural demonstrations and answer attendee questions daily.

Field demonstrations are expected to be highlights of the Harvest Days. Side-by-side tillage techniques, haying demonstrations, and combine performance comparisons will be shown to attendees as well. For livestock professionals, there will be live cattle-handling demonstrations and information on new animal health products.

This year, there is also a Diversified Industries tent, which is dedicated to everything related to precision agriculture.

“It’s what I call the ‘latest and greatest tent,’” says HHD host farmer Jason Luebbe. “That’s the tent where all the drone exhibitors are; there are a bunch of soil moisture probe exhibitors and all the newer technology.”

The Harvest Days will focus on research, recommendations, and tools that are designed to help producers prepare for challenging, dynamic weather conditions. There will also be demonstrations and exhibits on cover crops, energy crops, irrigation sensors, and more.

Admission to the Annual Husker Harvest Days event is $12 for adults and $6 for children between the ages of 13 and 17. Kids aged 12 and under can enter for free. Campgrounds are located nearby for travelers attending the event from afar.
