In Waterloo, Iowa, the 21st Two-Cylinder Expo kicked off its three-day show on June 22. Taking place near the John Deere factory, the exposition is deemed the pre-eminent vintage John Deere tractor event in the world, Iowa's WCF Courier reports. Most of the machines featured were built in the adjoining Deere plant and are some of the more than 1 million two-cylinder tractors Deere produced for home use.

In total, around 300 vintage tractors will be presented at the show, nearly all restored and a few left in distressed condition to underscore the work required by owners to restore the machines.

"We definitely believe a quality focus is better than quantity," said Jack Cherry, event co-organizer and editor of Two-Cylinder Magazine. "If you don't have standards, it's just another tractor show. What we have is the finest tractor show in the world. We don't say it, our (patrons) do."

John Deere dealers offer equipment such as the 43-horsepower 110 Tractor Loader Backhoe. According to the Deere website, the 110 TLB features LoadMatch load sensing technology akin to what is used on Hydrostatic Drive Crawlers for construction purposes. LoadMatch keeps stalling to a minimum and increases production.
