According to a Tractor.com review of John Deere’s 4720 HSTC, the compact utility cab tractor offers “comfort, style, economy, and capability” to get a variety of jobs done in the field or around the yard.

The Deere 4720 includes a number of features that make it a unique vehicle. Each 4720 features a John Deere manufactured 4024T four-cylinder powerplant and 123.86 foot pounds of torque on tap. According to the review, “you know there is some serious power available to get whatever task you have in mind done, and done fast.”

The 4720 offers eHydro electronics that allow the tractor to start with either pedal depressed. The operator can also stand up and the tractor will come to a halt without the engine shutting off, unless the PTO is engaged. The PTO can be engaged without the operator in the seat, as long as the parking brake is engaged and the transmission is in neutral, which is especially useful when running an attachment such as a wood chipper.

A fully independent 540 rpm rear PTO is standard on the 4720, but the 2100 rpm mid PTO is an option if attachments that require more power are utilized. The Cat-I three-point hitch (3PH) possesses a lift capacity of 2500 pounds; control over the rockshaft is by position so the operator can return the 3PH to the exact selectable position each and every time.

From the review, “The John Deere ComfortGuard cab gets as close to luxury automotive quality as we can imagine. The cab is totally isolated from the outside environment and uses a pressurized filtration system with a single roof intake that keeps dust and allergens from entering the cab. A quiet, vibration isolated environment certainly makes for less operator fatigue after a long day in the field. If you are in the market for a tractor of this size and class, check out the 4720. We think you’ll be impressed.”

The John Deere 4720 HSTC has the ability to turn any project into an easy task by combining its unique features to create a comfortable, powerful, and economical experience.
