John Deere has added to its portfolio of implement control products for various farming applications, as the company announced the introduction of John Deere Implement Detection software.

According to a company release, the new Implement Detection technology, which is exclusive to the green and yellow brand, automatically populates implement- and task-specific settings from a controller on the implement to the GreenStar 3 2630 display that is located in the cab.

People who have used John Deere equipment will now be offered a chance to use the Implement Detection software to receive a notification that will indicate the implement's name, connection type and other settings that can be saved to the implement controller, according to the release.

"With the addition of new John Deere Implement Detection, producers will see improved functionality and ease-of-use for these precision products when operating in the field," said Janae Althouse, ISG product manager for John Deere.

According to Precision Ag, operators that use the Implement Detection can accept settings and then move to the run page, or they can make adjustments to the modifications if necessary.
