John Deere has recently made headlines with the unveiling of an eight-wheeled version of the 1270E Harvester, which is designed to add stability and increase climbing ability.

The eight-wheeled version of the 1270E Interim Tier 4 (IT4)/Stage IIIB cut-to-length Harvester was recently introduced at Elmia Wood 2013 after being praised for its stability and climbing ability by customers in Europe. It is now available as an option on all of John Deere's 1270E Harvesters in North America.

Pekka Leppanen, product marketing manager for John Deere, said, "The 1270E is our most powerful and productive harvester yet for steep ground. With the addition of the eight-wheeled option, this machine is now more versatile than ever before, offering the best possible performance for our customers who work on demanding terrain."

The eight-wheeled option includes several features that allow the 1270E to perform well on steep slopes and in soft soil conditions. It provides superior traction and stability even in the most difficult of conditions, higher ground clearance, a large approach angle and more. Additional highlights of the 1270E include increased engine power, operator comfort, and serviceability.

On the heels of high praise among European customers, John Deere has made its eight-wheeled 1270E Harvester available in North America, adding more stability and climbing ability to harvesting.
