A multimillion-dollar renovation to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, Illinois, will help the company improve its global reach, as the agricultural giant is expanding its business model, according to the Quad-City Times.
"We have roots very deep in the farm industry, but we are much more than that," Brian Holst, marketing manager for the Pavilion, told the news source. "It’s all about ways to make our customers more productive. Those folks are the link to the land, and that’s what we want to stay connected to."
Along with displaying vintage farm equipment and antique tractors, the Pavilion has expanded beyond the historical aspects of agriculture. Climate and farming information will be updated in new exhibits that illustrate the industry's improvements that have led to progress for individual farmers, the Times reported.
WQAD.com reported that the John Deere Pavilion will be closed during renovations and will open to the public in mid-February. A formal event will take place for the re-opening of the center, as the new exhibits and floor space will be included in the celebration.
