According to a recent UTV Underground news release, Magnum Off-Road Racing/Vigor Motor Sports finished in first place at the opening round of the 2014 WORCS Off-Road Race Series in Taft, California, behind the performance of their John Deere RSX850i Gator.

Driver Daniel Rosenzweig and the rest of the Magnum team entered Taft looking forward to the start of the second season operating the John Deere RSX850i Gator according to the release. Daniel got off to a great start and never looked back, as he earned himself and the team their first victory in the 850 racing class and solidified themselves as the car to beat moving forward in the WORCS Series.

The team’s victory added to the January winning streak for the RSX850i as a sister vehicle won the week before at the BITD Parker 250. The vehicle’s success on the off-road racing series helps solidify previous claims that the RSX850i is more than a traditional Gator.

Upon its release, David Gigandet, marketing manager, Gator utility vehicles, said about the RSX850i, “The Gator takes a huge evolutionary step forward with the launch of the new Gator RSX850i. Gators have always been known for durability, utility and safety. The RSX maintains all these qualities at its core, but the incredible power, exhilarating speed and precision handling are what set it apart in our portfolio. It's the Gator fully evolved."
