According to a recent news release from the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the 2014 Missouri Governor's Conference on Agriculture is returning to Kansas City, January 16-18, providing attendees with an opportunity to participate in seminars and in-depth discussions on key issues in agriculture.

This year marks the 44th anniversary of the show, which will be held at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City, following a “Generations of Progress & Promise” theme. Seminars and discussions will cover modern agricultural hot topics including technology, advocacy and youth involvement, concluding with a celebration of agriculture led by Governor Jay Nixon.

Missouri Department of Agriculture Acting Director Harry D. Bozoian said in the news release, "The Governor's Conference on Agriculture is a long-standing tradition for leaders among Missouri's producers, agribusinesses and youth to come together to focus on the opportunities and challenges ahead and to learn from national and international policy leaders. We are excited to bring this outstanding event back to Kansas City and look forward to seeing the innovation and dedication of Missouri agriculture applied to the issues key to our long-term success."

Registration is currently open to the public for $250, which includes all sessions, meals, speakers and entertainment. The 44th Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture will provide area producers with an opportunity to connect with others in the industry while expanding their knowledge through seminars and discussions.
