New Jersey business paints landscapes - literally

Lawn owners may have used tractors or hoses when trying to get their lawn just the right shade of green, but they may have another option in literally painting a landscape.

According to a recent report from ABC News, lawn painting is growing in popularity as home owners try to get an edge in making their grass look healthy. Charlie Koerkel, whose New Jersey-based business specializes in the practice, said he was inspired to take paint to yards after watching a football field being painted.

"So I thought to myself if they have orange and white somewhere, I'm sure they have green to do lawns," Koerkel told the news organization.

Koerkel developed a special sprayer and the paint that he uses is nontoxic, so it doesn't present a danger to animals or children.

Of course, consumers may not want to cut corners in this way when trying to get their lawns green. How they irrigate their grass can play a role, as early morning watering tends to help avoid evaporation. Keeping cutting decks high on a used tractor can also help.ADNFCR-2034-ID-19924164-ADNFCR
