The Algonac, Michigan Halloween celebration featured a harvest parade with a dual focus on agricultural heritage and costumes, reported the Port Huron Times Herald.

According to the news source, a trail of vintage John Deere tractors made its way through the town in front of a parade of young children who were dressed in costumes that ranged from southern belles to baby cows.

The procession was more than several street blocks long and visitors from all over the region came to see the various groups traveling down through the center of Algonac. James and Yukimi Kettel were visiting their former home, and noted that the parade brought back memories.

"You'll be trick-or-treating on the same streets your Dad was on when he was a boy," James Kettel told his daughters.

The John Deere tractors pulled sleds of children through the streets, as they gathered candy from local residents who lined the procession. Members of the Historic Preservation of Antique Tractors and Equipment of Eastern Michigan led the way, according to the organization's website.
