The family life of farmers in the early part of the 20th century and the antique tractors that they used were the focus of the 12th Annual Sunny Plain Antique Power Association's Farm and Family Fun Day, according to the Times and Democrat.
The celebration was held at the Culclasure Farm and included demonstrations of early farm equipment such as corn and bean shellers, a hand-weight tripod for weighing cotton, a sawmill and antique John Deere tractors, the news source reported.
According to the news source, the festival also acts as a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other local charities. Visitors pay to come see the many exhibits and the proceeds are injected back into the local community.
Other highlights of the festival included tractor pulls, an Antique Car, Truck and Tractor show, craft demonstrations, wagon rides, a silent auction and a Money Hunt for children, the Times and Democrat reported.
The Sunny Plain Antique Power Association is a private company in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and is categorized under antique dealers, according to the organization's website.
