While many consumers have probably used tractors to deal with lawn care, others may be doing so for the first time.

In a recent column for AllAboutLawns.com, Marcia Passos said people with new grasses have to make sure they pay careful attention to their growth, which includes watering them frequently.

"Give them lots of care and attention," Passos said. "And don't assume they are safely established until seven or eight weeks have passed."

Passos suggested people water lawns up to three times a day for 30 to 45 minutes. Furthermore, property owners should try and do so doing the morning or evening hours, when the weather is cooler.

Furthermore, how people have used tractors can affect a new lawn. Passos said property owners should wait until grass reaches at least 3 inches before they start mowing. They shoud also make sure their machine's blades are sharp, as not doing so could tear up the new growth.

Along with preserving the health of a lawn, having sharp blades can lead to machines being more efficient, which can save money on gas. Other tactics to help improve the performance of used tractors include changing oil and gas filters.ADNFCR-2034-ID-19759957-ADNFCR
