The Northern Wisconsin State Fair is a celebration of the Midwestern lifestyle and the various industries and practices that embody the cultural heritage of the region, The Chippewa Herald reported.

Visitors may display their favorite pieces of farm equipment as a testament to the agriculture industry. Past and present models of John Deere tractors will be on display, a symbol of the progression in technology for farmers, according to the news source.

Future attendees like Ken Custer have expressed their intentions to show the history of these agricultural products, as he plans to bring a 1954 John Deere tractor along with a newer 2011 model. The contrast between the two vehicles will show the technological advances that have shaped the industry, reported The Herald.

The technology that is now available on John Deere tractors will be celebrated in the fair, as Custer noted that the GPS that is now available in the products can steer the mower around a field, "If you make a path every 60 feet, it will be within three inches of 60 feet."

John Deere products that feature technology like the GPS steering are available on the company's website.
