The U.S. Natural Resources Conservation Service, in conjunction with the University of Wyoming, reported that the Upper North Platte Basin - covering measurements from the Snowy Range and Sierra Madres - received snowfall of 172 percent above average.

According to the news source, state employee Kevin Pantle noticed a car buried in snow beside a nearly-covered home as he drove around Ryan Park conducting the government research. State workers took note of the depth of the wintry precipitation as well as the volume of water trapped inside. From the data recorded on April 28th for the town, they found that there was three times more water as compared to the locale's 30-year average.

An inn-owner in Ryan Park, Dale Kirkley, told the media outlet that he has motored his six-foot John Deere snow blower around his business for 240 hours this winter. He has used the piece of equipment to pile the snow in drifts, but observed that "we are literally running out of places to put the snow.”

John Deere provides snow removal equipment such as the 1332PE Professional Snowthrower, which comes with a Briggs & Stratton Snow Series MAX Engine and electric chute rotation. This product and others are available at your local John Deere dealer.
